Thoughts on Earning the Great Place to Work® Certification™

Blog

We’re pleased and honored to share that Entelligence has earned the Great Place to Work® Certification™. This prestigious award, considered the ultimate “employer-of-choice” recognition, is based entirely on a rigorous, data-driven methodology that analyzes what current employees say about their experience working at a company.

In our case, 89% of Entelligence employees said it’s a great place to work. That’s 30 points higher than the U.S. average. As one of our team members recently remarked, “Entelligence treats their employees more like family than placements.” That’s not the kind of comment you hear on the job in most American workplaces.

While it’s a great honor, earning the Certification wasn’t a complete surprise. As our brand promise reveals, we are ALWAYS READY. It is what the world can always expect from us, without fail. And, in our business, realizing this vision is entirely about our people. We owe this achievement to our team members.

The certification process, spearheaded by Allison Dodd-o, Entelligence Director of HR, confirmed that nearly nine out of ten of Entelligence team members have a consistently positive experience at work. But as Allison explains, a work environment like this does not just happen. “Entelligence is a purpose-driven company and our purpose is to elevate people’s lives. For years, this has been just part of the DNA of the company which emanates from Steve Satterwhite, our founder and CEO. But over the past couple years, the company has dramatically grown. This means we need to be intentional about nurturing our company’s culture so that it’s always supporting our employees and aligned to our company’s purpose.”

According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified Great Workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified Workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.

Steve Satterwhite believes that an employee culture of empowerment and trust is crucial to support the company’s future growth. “Look, my vision for Entelligence from Day One was that it become the world’s most engaged, inspired, and impactful organization in our industry,” says Steve. “We’ve intentionally created a high-trust workplace through employee programs and policies that reinforce our distinctive culture. Our employees’ experience has to be a priority every day. Frankly, it’s how we’re going to continue to find the best people in the industry and keep them!”

Entelligence indeed makes the employee experience a priority every day— something it’s able to deliver on because the investment in the people and in the values that sustain a culture of high expectations and opportunity. That investment continues with new programs coming out in 2021 such as the Entelligence Leadership Academy. The program will provide professional education and coaching for staff members seeking to expand their careers and lives.

The Entelligence mission is to continually focus on how to elevate lives, careers, families, and communities. It is our number one priority. Earning this recognition underscores that we have a company where we do just that. Moreover, it offers us the opportunity to say “thank you” to each and every one of our team members and express our appreciation for the dedication they bring to Entelligence.
